Our Programs
The goal of Lowndes County's Career Technical Education Program is to provide students access to a flexible system of rigorous academic and work-based learning through a sequence of courses designed to prepare them for life after high school. The Lowndes County Career Technical Education Program (LCCTEP) is committed to ensuring that each of its graduates are prepared to meet that challenges of our ever changing global workforce.

Business Administrative Services
The Business Education Program is designed for students with career interests in business, marketing finance and entrepreneurship. The curriculum provides flexibility regarding course selection as students pursue their individual career objectives. The curriculum is structured to mirror the diversity within the business and marketing industry and to provide instruction in the required principles, concepts, attitudes and skills for advanced study or employment. -
General Agriscience
Agriscience Education places and emphasis on the integration of academics into existing agriculture/agriscience curricula, especially in the area of science and mathematics. Agriscience courses provide students with knowledge and skills needed to enter and advance in agricultural, building science and power mechanics careers that enable students to function as informed citizens in today's society. The career tech student organization for General Agriscience is National FFA Organization. -
Information Technology - Computer Science
This program is for students who are interested in careers that involve information technology security, network analysis, planning, and implementation, including design, installation, repair, maintenance, and management of network systems. Courses provide an overview of the knowledge and skills required in network and systems administration. -
Job's for Alabama Graduates (JAG)
Jobs for Alabama’s Graduates (JAG) provides specialized support for students who are up against difficult barriers that limit them from reaching graduation and career goals. We pair students with a JAG Specialist who provides group and individualized instruction to help students earn their high school degree, secure a quality job, and/or pursue post-secondary education. Through early intervention including classroom instruction, employability skills development, and job placement services. -
Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps (JROTC)
The JROTC Program prepares students for responsible leadership roles while making them aware of their rights, responsibilities and privileges as American citizens. The program is stimulus for promoting graduation from high school, and it provides instruction and rewarding opportunities which will benefit the student, community, and nation. The program is open to students considering careers in law enforcement, fire protection, and military service. The career tech student organization is JROTC. -
Modern Manufacturing - Center of Excellence
Modern Manufacturing technicians are needed in every industry that uses machinery, from automotive assembly plants to computer manufacturers. Not only do they repair and maintain electrical instruments and equipment, but they also install and dismantle them. Every time a new appliance leaves a factory, or a new car rolls off the line, a skilled modern manufacturing technician played a role in producing it. -
Welding
Welding is a highly skilled industry that can take you places all over the world. From ladders to aircraft carriers, from NASCAR to national defense, and from the laboratory to sales and repair, the varied welding industry impacts virtually every industry. Technology is creating more uses for welding in the workplace. This program utilizes NCCER’s four-level curriculum covering topics such as Oxyfuel Cutting, Welding Symbols, and Stainless-Steel Groove Welds.
